Today, many ruling parties want to control Punjab by bringing it down in a crooked way. A cunning move is being made to weaken its population economically to bring it under control.
A part of the population of Punjab is included in the minorities of the country, but there are more in Punjab. It is worth mentioning here that their lifestyle is very different from others. They get emotional and get carried away quickly. That is why they are at the forefront of every work, be it the matter of the defense of the country or food security. After the formation of Punjabi Suba, the Akali Dal and the Congress ruled here alternately. When the Akali Dal formed the government for the second time in 2012, no national party could digest this. Therefore, from 2016, they started creating a narrative against the Akali Dal by putting Punjab in the foreground, in which the issues of sacrilege, drugs, unemployment, debt and water were at the forefront. The desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was inevitable, there was an outcry among the people, because it was a very unfortunate incident to desecrate the scripture and religion that respects all religions in this way. The government failed to reach the culprits of that incident and in the year 2017, the Akali Dal was out of power.
Today, there is a need to save Punjab, for which a regional party is necessary and that is the Akali Dal for Punjab. Why did the victims of 1984 leave Delhi, Nagpur and other cities and come to Punjab, because everyone knew that in Punjab we have a regional party to protect us. Today, something should be said, national parties can never do for Punjab what the regional party did. If we look at Punjab, there are many such issues, where only the regional party can protect the rights of Punjab and has done so.
Federal structure: At present, the central government has taken control of the money of the states along with G.S.T. Wherever there is a central government, there you can take as much money as you want. A recent example is that after the Lok Sabha elections, when the elected representatives of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh helped the BJP to form the government, they were issued special packages, while in the states where the party of the center did not have a government, their GST money is also being given late. On the other hand, it is also said that if the states have to take a loan from the Central Bank, then the states will have to implement the policies of the center. The rights of the states are being reduced on various pretexts. For the rural development of Punjab, a rural development fund was run by the center for more food grain production, which was first reduced, then stopped. Changes in the laws that come under the jurisdiction of the state are also stopped by the President.
Pending issues of Punjab
The two major issues of Punjab, which have been pending for the last seven decades, are due to the center’s indifference towards Punjab. It has happened that the capital of a state that has been divided and made smaller has also been taken away, i.e. Chandigarh was not given to Punjab and it has been kept as a Union Territory. If it was not divided into two parts, it was because the regional party (Akali Dal) here was strong, otherwise when would the dispute have been resolved by dividing it? The second big issue is the river waters of Punjab. A large part of the river waters (8 million cubic feet) from the united Punjab was given to Rajasthan. When Haryana was separated from Punjab, while distributing water, the water of Yamuna, which was in the united Punjab, was kept aside and the remaining 60:40 was distributed, due to which the irrigation capacity of canal water in Punjab remained at only 27 percent and 73 percent of agriculture became dependent on groundwater. In the year 2023, 27.8 billion cubic meters of water was extracted from the ground, while only 18.84 billion cubic meters was recharged. The groundwater has reached a depth of 130 feet. The sword of SYL is still hanging over the state’s head.
Black Water
Recently, some organizations had to protest in Ludhiana to stop the dumping of waste water into the Sutlej, it was justified. In the old drain of Ludhiana, the waste water of all the industries, the sewage water of the city and the dung of the dairies are found for drinking and use by all the areas of Malwa, Haryana and Rajasthan through the Sutlej and this waste water is the main cause of cancer. The state administration started stopping those who talked about saving the environment from 10 kilometers away and took the leaders who were there into custody, while on the other hand, the industrialists brought the migrants on trucks and tempos on daily wages and the administration did not stop them, did the administration want to stop the protest by making two groups clash with each other? Whose instigation was this? Only the regional party can stop such conspiracies. Look at the tragedy, the smoke of stubble eats everyone and the administration does not hesitate to register cases against farmers and impose fines, but the industrialists are kneeling before them and do not even care about the orders of the Green Tribunal. The thing to understand at this time is that the attention of the national party is divided, they also fight elections in other states, while the regional party runs from Punjab and protects the issues of Punjab. At this time, our regional party also needs to understand that without taking the help of any national party, you should fix your image in front of the Punjabis yourself, because the outsiders have removed you from the issues of the Punjabis and given priority to national issues.
