Nagar Kirtan organized from Sri Akal Takht Sahib on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji
Under the shade of the tar and led by the Panj Pyares, the Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh, adorned the holy form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the Palki Sahib. On this occasion, Gatka and band parties were present and Shabdi jathas sang Guru Jas in praise of Guru Sahib Ji. Present on the occasion, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh, while congratulating the Sangat on the holy Parkash Gurpurab of the Dasam Patshah Ji, said that the life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh is unparalleled and inspiring in the religious history of the world. He inspired the Sangat to connect with the Bani and Bane by partaking of the amrit granted by Guru Sahib.
After starting from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the Nagar Kirtan was warmly welcomed by the Sangat at places like Bazar Mai Sewan, Bazar Kathian, Bazar Paparan, Bazar Bansan, Chowk Chhati Khuhi, Chawal Mandi, Dal Mandi, Dhab Wasti Ram, Jaura Pippal, Bazar Luhara, Chowk Lachhmansar, Chowk Baba Sahib, Chowk Paragdas etc. During the Nagar Kirtan, besides the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, the Chief Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh, members of the Shiromani Committee Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Ram Singh, members of the Dharam Prachar Committee Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhishek, Secretary S. Pratap Singh, Additional Secretary S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Superintendent S. Nishan Singh, S. Malkit Singh Beharwal, S. Narinder Singh, S. Satnam Singh Riar, Additional Manager S. Jaspal Singh, S. Iqbal Singh Mukh, S. Gurinder Singh Devidaspur and a large number of devotees participated.
