Building owners will have to file appeal within one month
If appeal is not filed then GLADA can take action against illegal buildings

Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has started planning to take action against illegal building construction on NH 95A in South City on Sidhwa Canal. Regarding this, GLADA has issued a notice cancelling the CLU issued to about 70 buildings built on this road. In this notice, the property owner has been asked to present his side within a month. These buildings were not built according to the rules of the National Highway Authority of India. After which notices have also been issued to the owners of those buildings. It is being discussed that GLADA has declared about 70 buildings illegal and cancelled their CLU. This order has been issued by GLADA’s Additional Chief Administrator Vineet Kumar. In these buildings, restaurants, hotels, clubs and stores of well-known companies are running. Many are under construction. However, according to the rules, all these constructions on the National Highway are illegal and the rules of the National Highway have been openly flouted in it. According to the information, a petition was filed in the High Court by the Ludhiana Citizen Council regarding these illegal constructions.
