On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, millions of devotees paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib
On the occasion of the Prakash Gurpurab of the fourth Patshah Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, a large number of devotees paid obeisance and expressed their respect at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib today. On this occasion, Chief Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Sultan Singh, Additional Head Granthi Giani Amarjit Singh, Senior Member of Shiromani Committee President S. Harbhajan Singh Masana, Junior Vice President Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Khalsa, General Secretary Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta along with prominent personalities of Panth also attended. On the occasion of Gurpurab, Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Gurudwara Baba Atal Rai Sahib were decorated with beautiful jalous, which were the center of attraction for the devotees.
The Shiromani Committee offered a feast of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, after which panth famous ragi, dhadi and kwishar jathas connected the congregation with history. Earlier, famous storyteller Giani Pinderpal Singh while speaking at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall informed the congregation about the life history of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji. Apart from this, in the Kavi Darbar, Panthak poets narrated the life history of the fourth Patshahji and his giving with the Sangat through poems.
Meanwhile, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee honored the students who stood first in the religious competitions organized by the children of schools and colleges dedicated to the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall. These competitions were conducted on different days in the past. Large arrangements of langars were made for the devotees by various dignitaries and the management of Sri Darbar Sahib.
The Shiromani Committee also organized a raga darbar and probing singing kirtan event at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall last night, in which panth famous ragi groups sang pavan bani based on ragas.
