Sauda Sadh did not get relief from Supreme Court, hearing on March 18

The petition related to the Bargari sacrilege case was heard in the Supreme Court yesterday. The court has given three weeks to the Punjab government to file its response. However, Dera Sauda, Sirsa chief Ram Rahim has not received any relief in this matter. Now the hearing of this matter will be held on March 18.

Meanwhile, the stay order imposed by the Supreme Court on the High Court order will continue. In March last year, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had stayed the proceedings going on in the lower court in the cases related to the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Bargari.

This order was challenged by the Punjab government in the Supreme Court. In the previous hearing, the Supreme Court had stayed the order of the High Court and issued a notice to the Sauda Sadh. The Punjab government demanded 3 weeks to file its response on the affidavit of the Sauda Sadh. The court has adjourned the hearing to March 18, giving time.
