Farmers are not a throne, MSP demands

Two major incidents took place in the past few days. The first incident was the arrest of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal and the second was the Aam Aadmi Party’s thanksgiving march, which was taken out from Patiala to Amritsar. Yesterday, the Aam Aadmi Party celebrated its foundation day in Delhi, but Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, who planted the roots of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, was neither in the thanksgiving rally nor in the Delhi Foundation Day. One is surprised at the Aam Aadmi Party’s stance. They say that we are thanking the people for winning three seats in the by-elections. Well, the route on which you are taking out the rally does not have Barnala, Gidderbaha, Chabbewal and Dera Baba Nanak, so why the thanksgiving? There is no demonstration for the corporation elections anywhere because five corporations fall on this route. Aman Arora was presented as if he were the mastermind of Punjab. Although the Aam Aadmi Party created a big fuss, the media still gave priority to the pain of the farmers. So, Dallewal’s arrest has dealt a major blow to the Shukrana Yatra. It should have happened because these people have been trying to get votes by saying they are farmers’ welfare and it has been a year since the farmers have been sitting on the Shambhu and Khanauri borders. No one has dared to sit with them. In the past few days, Sunil Jakhar had clearly said that as long as the central government is not pro-Punjab or the problems and troubles of the farmers are not solved, it is not possible for the BJP to gain a foothold in Punjab. So for me, the farmers are on the priority basis. Will anyone else speak this language? By the way, Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu says that sit down and solve the issue with the farmers. The question is that now that you are the Union Minister of State, why don’t you arrange a meeting with the farmers. The farmers are ready to meet the government.
