Expressing grief over the demise of Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar, Panch Pradhani Panth Sevak Jatha paid tributes to him.


Currently, the sacrifices of Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar and his family have an important place in Sikh history, ever since the struggle for Khalistan began in 1978. Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar, the leader of the Babbar Khalsa International organization, spent his entire life in exile and went to Gurpuri Sudhar without a homeland. The true tribute to him would be that we remain steadfast in his vision while upholding his ideals.

These words were expressed by Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu Khalsa Ji, Bhai Rajinder Singh Mughalwal, Bhai Narayan Singh Chaura, Bhai Lal Singh Akalgarh, Bhai Amrik Singh Isru, Bhai Satnam Singh Khanda, Bhai Satnam Singh Jhanjia, Bhai Bhupinder Singh Bhalwan, Bhai Sukhdev Singh Dod, Bhai Manjit Singh Phagwara and Bhai Hardeep Singh Mehraj of Panch Pardhani Panth Sewak Jatha in their press statement issued and said that among the generals of the militant struggle, Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar was the elder brother of Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar and his contribution to this armed movement that accounted for five decades of Sikh struggle cannot be denied. They said that Bhai Babbar was 85 years old. It is worth mentioning that Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar was an important part of the 1986 Panthic Committee and his name was mentioned in the forefront of armed militants. He was born in village Dasuwal in Bhinkhiwind tehsil of Tarn Taran district and his younger brother Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar was the head of Babbar Khalsa International organization for 14 years who carried out militant operations. Panch Pradhani Panth Sevak Jatha said that Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar’s struggle for the freedom of the Sikh community, dedication, commitment, fearlessness of death and courage and determination in the struggle will become a source of inspiration for the current and future generations of the Sikh community.
