Delhi Gurdwara Committee holds discussions with representatives of Singh Sabhas regarding the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee held a meeting with the representatives of the Singh Sabhas of Delhi yesterday to celebrate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. In this meeting, it was informed that the committee has set a target of three and a half lakh Sehaj Paths for which the congregation is being motivated. Sehaj Paths will start from April 15 at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib Complex, the Bhog of which is to be held at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib on November 25, 2025, on the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. This was disclosed by the President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon and Chairman of the Dharam Prachar Committee, Sardar Jaspreet Singh Karamsar.
Addressing a meeting with representatives of Singh Sabhas in this regard at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall here, Sardar Kalka, Sardar Kahlon and Sardar Karamsar said that our effort is to connect the Sangat with the history of the Guru. They said that when in 1999 we celebrated the 300th birth anniversary of the Khalsa, then the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji came and the day of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji came, then the whole world saw how we celebrate the days related to our Gurus and the nation. They said that now the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji is coming. They said that this is the only martyrdom in the whole world which was given to protect the religion of others. They said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji sacrificed his entire nation, there is no example of its equality and there has been no greater martyrdom than this. He said that Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala Ji were martyred along with Guru Sahib. He said that whenever people read their history, it leaves an imprint on their minds. He said that it is an undeniable truth that our Sikh history is full of martyrdoms. He said that we have called the management committees of all the Gurdhams where Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s feet were touched for consultation. We want to celebrate this centenary in such a way that it becomes an example in the world. He said that just as the government celebrated Veer Bal Diwas all over the world, we want to celebrate this centenary in the same way. He said that we have full support of the governments in this matter. He said that along with the central government, we will meet the Chief Ministers of those states wherever Guru Sahib went and tell them that we have to celebrate this day. He said that Guru Sahib has protected Tilak Janju.
He said that after taking your suggestions, we will decide the final program. He said that we will organize such programs that the world will remember. He said that from April 15, we will start Sehaj Path at 11.00 am. We will appeal to the Sangat to recite the scriptures themselves and those who do not have the scriptures in their homes, we will also provide the scriptures. He said that those who do not have space to keep the scriptures in their homes, we will provide bags. He said that Sehaj Path will conclude on November 25. He said that on November 25, we will hold a big event at the Red Fort. We will complete the Sri Sehaj Path here itself. He said that the names of those whom Aurangzeb launched a campaign to eliminate are resounding all over the world. He said that we want to register names by April 15, for which people will come forward on their own. He said that we will tell how lakhs of people will recite the scriptures daily and sing the praises of the Guru. He asked the Delhi Gurdwara Committee members to hold meetings with representatives of Singh Sabhas, Istri Satsangs and other Sikh organizations in their respective areas and contribute to making this program a success.
