In memory of the elder and younger Sahibzades, chant the Moolmantar and Gurmantar for ten minutes on December 22 and 27 at 10 am: Giani Raghbir Singh
Jathedar Singh Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh has given a message to every Sikh living in the world who takes the name of Guru Nanak to chant the Mool-Mantra and Gur-Mantra for ten minutes on 22 December 2024 (8 Poh) at 10 am in memory of the unique martyrs of the Battle of Chamkaur, including the elder Sahibzadas of the Dashmesh Pita, Sarbansdani, Sahib-e-Kamali Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Baba Ajit Singh Ji and Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, and to pay true tribute to the unparalleled and great martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, Baba Fateh Singh Ji and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji.
In a message issued through the media from the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat today, Giani Raghbir Singh said that the unparalleled martyrdom of the four Sahibzades of the universal father Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji took place to keep the banner of truth and religion high throughout the world and to give every living being the right to live according to the freedom of their conscience. He said that these great martyrdoms will remain a beacon for human freedom for the rest of the world and will continue to create a spirit of courage, enthusiasm and courage within the oppressed humanity to fight against oppression. He said that in memory of the elder Sahibzades and the martyrs of the Battle of Chamkaur, every mother and brother should chant the Moolmantra and Gurmantra for ten minutes at 10 am on December 22 and 10 am on December 27.
He has also given a written order to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to issue a circular to all Gurdwara Sahibs, institutions, schools, colleges related to Dharam Prachar Committee, Section 85, 87 under the management of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and inform the Sangat through newspapers/media. Similarly, a written order has also been issued to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh has also appealed to every Sikh institution, Singh Sabha, Sabha-Society, Dal Panth, Taksals, sects and organizations across the world to encourage every Sikh to chant the Mool Mantra and Gur Mantra as mentioned above during the Shaheed Week dedicated to the four Sahibzadas and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji and also to chant as much Gurbani as
possible while maintaining detachment and simplicity.
