By not accepting the legitimate demands of the farmers, the Modi government is pushing the farmer Dallewal, who is on a fast unto death, to his death – Paramjit Singh Mand

Joining the front in support of the farmers’ struggle, Dal Khalsa extended its full support and solidarity to Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike for the past 27 days.

Under the leadership of Working President Paramjit Singh Mand, the youth activists visited the Khanauri inter-state border and inquired about Dallewal’s health and well-being. Mand met the protesting farmer activists at the protest site and appealed to those leading the movement to remain strong.

In a statement issued by the party office, Dal Khalsa Office Secretary Man Singh said that farmers are the backbone of Punjab and his organization stands with the farmer organizations and stands with every farmer in the movement. He accused Narendra Modi of adopting a callous and insensitive attitude towards the protesting farmers, especially the farmer leader Dallewal, who is on a fast unto death, and said that the government is pushing them towards death. He said that if any untoward incident happens to Dallewal, then the BJP government will be fully responsible for it. This approach of the government is nothing but vindictiveness and ignoring the legitimate demands of the protesting farmers.” Dal Khalsa has appealed to all Punjabis to unite to take the farmers’ movement to victory.

On this occasion, Baba Hardeep Singh Mehraj, Ram Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Jeevan Singh, Gurnam Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh etc. were present along with Bhai Mand.
